Ross Paterson has become the latest player to agree terms with Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central newcomers Cambridge City for the new season.

Paterson was made club captain after his move from Ryman League Division One North side Soham Town Rangers in December and went onto to become a favourite among the City fans with a number of impressive performances.

Manager Robbie Nightingale was delighted that Paterson had agreed to be with City for another season. He told the club`s website: “Agreeing terms with Ross is great news for us. He was an integral part of the squad last season and having him on board for another campaign is another piece in the jigsaw to a squad that we are assembling which we hope will be able to challenge for promotion.”

Paterson joins Ben Robinson, Jordan Gent, Ryan Sharman and new signing Ian Miller as players who have already committed to be with City for the new season.
