King’s Lynn Town Make Big Statement With Grant Holt Signing

King’s Lynn Town have completed the signing of Norwich City legend Grant Holt writes Tom Feaheny.

The Linnets who are led by Canaries legend Ian Culverhouse in the Evo-Stik League South Premier, have also brought in another ex Norwich player in Simon Lappin.
Lynn are fourth in the Southern Premier after seven wins and a draw from their opening 10 matches, though they did lose 3-1 at Weymouth on Saturday.
Grant Holt won Norwich City’s player of the season award three seasons on the spin, with the 36 year old scoring  78 goals in 168 games during four seasons at Carrow Road.
After spells at other clubs in England last season he joined Hibernian and helped them win the Scottish Championship title last season.
Lappin was last at York City where he was ruled out for most of the previous campaign through injury while they were in the Vanarama National League.
