Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett has confirmed he has a host of new players ready to unveil.
The Evo-Stik NPL Premier club have already lost key players this summer.
Losing top scorer Luke Benbow, the division’s leading marksman, is the biggest blow – he is one of two players to sign for Solihull Moors, with another reportedly very close.
But Hackett has calmed fears by saying new signings are getting nearer.
He said: “It’s a part of football losing players – even if perhaps you don’t expect them all to go to the same club!
“It’s my job to make sure the ones we have lost are all replaced properly. That’s what I have been trying to do since the season ended.
“We are getting close to being in a position to confirm the players who have agreed to play for the club so it’s a case of watch this space.
“They are position for position for the boys who have moved on and hopefully when we are able to make an announcement the fans will be happy and welcome them to to the club.”
Filling the scoring boots of Benbow is clearly top priority.
“I’m sure he will so well at Solihull as he has been brilliant for us,” Hackett added.
“But we need to look to the future. There are a lot of good strikers out there.
“We are confident of another good season despite the players that have left the club.”
