Defender Jordon Thompson has extended his loan spell with Vanarama National League club Barrow AFC from SkyBet League Two side Coventry City.

The 18-year-old centre-back joined the Bluebirds on an initial month`s loan deal until October 14th, but both clubs have taken the decision to extend the agreement by an extra month, until November 14th.

Thompson has clearly impressed during his time with Barrow, after winning praise from recently-appointed manager Micky Moore for his debut against Torquay United, and going on to play every minute of all five games since his arrival at the Furness Building Society Stadium.

Moore said: “Jordan was a massive plus.

“He equipped himself really well. He only came in on Friday, so there was no real time for him to understand what we are doing”.
