Two goals in the first 11 minutes from Jordan Smith and Matt Melbourne set the Leicestershire club off to a fine start.

Holbrook hit back with a goal from Chris King and, despite hitting the woodwork and some fine saves from the Thurnby keeper, Holbrook trailed 2-1 at the break.

Holbrook started the second half the better side and against the run of play Melbourne added a third for Thurnby after good work from Smith.

The fourth came a few minutes later when Kirk Masters easily beat the Holbrook full-back to lay a ball into the box for Smith to claim is second of the game.

With Holbrook now chasing the game, both teams had chances but the final score went to Holbrook deep into injury-time from Dave Hind.
