....Tiday from neighbours and league rivals Oadby Town.
Tiday, 33, joins the Riversiders for the second time in his career having previously played for the club in 2006/07.
Tiday has made eight league appearances for the Poachers this season and started his career as a junior with Aston Villa before spells at an array of non-League clubs including Alfreton Town, Rushden & Diamonds, Rothwell Town, Stamford, Barwell and Loughborough Dynamo.
The Riversiders moved quickly to secure the player following confirmation of Liam Fitzpatricks suspension earlier this week, and hope to make a further addition to the squad in the coming days.
Tiday will be eligible to make his debut for the club this weekend, which as a quirk of fate, is against Oadby at Riverside Park).
Meanwhile, striker Scott Maclennan has handed Barrow a post-Christmas boost following his rejection of a move to league rivals Ellistown FC.
Popular Maclennan, 26, was subject to a seven-day approach from the North West Leicestershire club in early December after spending much of the season with the reserves, but following much deliberation has decided that his future remains with the Riversiders.
Maclennan said: “This season has given me the opportunity to act as a father figure to a number of the youngsters that we have developed in the side this season, and to leave them now would leave both them and I heartbroken.
“It`s a privilege that the excellent reserve team management staff fought tooth and nail to keep me here, and even the first-team management called me to talk about the move, although it turns out they just wanted my tracksuit back!'
“I don't think that any other club in the county would have supported me through the cat rehoming tragedy that hit our family earlier this season in the same way.”
