The ex-Blackstones hitman contacted Tigers boss John Chand after last Saturday’s rampant 10-0 friendly win at King’s Cliffe to confirm his intention to join the club.

UCL rivals Peterborough Northern Star and Stones, for who he fired over twenty goals last season, had hoped to secure Staffieri’s services.

Brother Giuliano Staffieri, who can play in defence or midfield, is also ready to sign forms at Carter’s Park.

Chand said: “We’ve officially agreed terms with both Addie and Giuliano and plan to send the forms off tonight.

“It’s great news as we’ve made no secret of our desire to sign them both.”
