....central defender Chris Timons is to take temporary charge of first-team affairs with immediate effect.

The 37-year-old Shirebrook-born defender joined Town during the 2012 close season after playing for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South sides Rainworth Miners Welfare and Hucknall Town last season.

Previous clubs in an impressive career include Mansfield Town, Halifax Town, Chesterfield, Leyton Orient, Stafford Rangers, Gainsborough Trinity, Altrincham, Stalybridge Celtic, Ilkeston Town, Harrogate Town and Glapwell.

Meanwhile, the managerless club’s search for a permanent replacement - or replacements - for former manager Gary Castledine and assistant Jamie Kirk will continue.

Timons is to be assisted in his duties by first-team coach Lee Cook.
