Lewes made it eight games unbeaten in the Bostik League South and a lead at the top of the table of five points after a comfortable 4-0 win against bottom-markers Shoreham on Wednesday night.

In front of a crowd of 374 at the Dripping Pan, Shoreham, thirteen points adrift at the foot of the table and seemingly destined for a rapid return to the Southern Combination League, fell to two goals in either half by their Sussex rivals.

Jonte Smith`s coolly-taken penalty gave the Rooks a 25th minute lead that Lloyd Cotton doubled 7 minutes before the break.

Bouwe Bosma added the home side`s third just past the hour-mark and after 68 minutes, Leon Redwood made it 4-0.
