.....and manager Steve Newing is delighted to have been successful in bringing two players to the club that he has been targetting over the summer.
Both have Ryman Premier experience and will bring that strength to the squad for the season ahead.
David Hicks played for Wealdstone in the Ryman Premier before moving to Cheshunt midway through last season and Joe O'Brien was with Wingate & Finchley for eighteen months before moving to Potters Bar Town more recently.
Both are central midfielders and Newing believes they will bring additional capabilities and qualities to the squad.
“David and Joe are both keen to make their mark at the club and I believe they can,” he said. “But they will need to prove themselves.”
Most of last season's squad have already committed to the club for the coming season. But Newing added: "One or two are still considering their options, including some offers to play at a higher level, but that's to be expected.
“I'm confident we will have a strong squad in place when the players resume training."
