....had verbally agreed to return to the Ryman League Division One North club.

The player involved is midfielder Rhys Darg, who has recently returned from a spell in Swedish football.

Tracey said: “I feel very let down. Rhys had agreed that he would return to AFC where he has spent three previous spells with us. I have been trying to fix up a meeting to get his signature for several weeks so that we could sort out his international clearance but it never came off but I expected him to keep his word with me.

“It seems he has had his head turned and has stated that he will be signing for Leiston. He tells me it’s not for any extra money but the desire to play at a higher level.”
