Tucker has recently been coaching at Dulwich Hamlet, Croydon FC and scouting for the Charlton Athletic Academy.
Tucker said of his appointment: “I am pleased to have been given the responsibility for taking the club forward.
“Last season appears to have been something of an anomaly - I believe it is the first time in its history the club have been relegated for footballing reasons - and it has the infrastructure and facilities of a higher level team. I am therefore confident of a much more successful season on the pitch.
“I am also pleased to announce Michael Watson as my assistant and Ian Gannon as coach. I have known Michael for a number of years, having first worked with him at Dulwich Hamlet, and his knowledge of football is second to none. Ian is a UEFA qualified coach who has worked at a number of professional and semi-pro clubs. I expect to be able to announce further additions to the management team in the next few days.
“With no fixtures in place when I took the job, and a lot of teams already having their matches arranged, it's been fairly hectic getting a pre-season programme in place! However, I've been able to call on a few contacts from previous roles and the response has been first class from those looking to help out.
“We as a management team know the task is not going to be easy, but we are all determined to get the club back on the map again. When you think that a few years ago Banstead were in the Isthmian League the club's potential is clear and I would like to get the club moving in the right direction again.”
