Twin Brother Signs - Self Stays
Carl Self

.....the signing of highly-rated goalkeeper Shaun Allaway.

Allaway is a former England under-19 international, who graduated from the Reading`s academy and was sold in March 2000 to Leeds United for £300,000.

Loan spells at Grimsby Town, Walsall, and Blackpool followed and he was one of the stars of Staines Town`s FA Cup run of 2007/08, being awarded man of the match in the First Round proper against Stockport County.

Roach is pleased to welcome him to Waterside Park where he will play alongside twin brother Ricky.

Meanwhile, Roach has announced that Carl Self has committed for another season at Waterside Park.

Self is a left footer with fantastic pace and great technical ability. He broke into the first-team during the 2009/10 season and also helped the youth team win the Allied Counties Challenge Cup in that year.

He had a brief spell at Hungerford Town but returned to the club in November 2011, scoring on his return debut in the Red Insure League Cup game at Wimborne Town.
