Two `Big` Signings for Bucks
Jan Budtz

....two ‘giants’ to strengthen his squad ahead of their preseason campaign.

McIntosh revealed his recruitment of 6`4” goalkeeper Jan Budtz following his release by Blue Square Bet North side Stalybridge Celtic and finally secured the season-long loan of Marc Roberts from league rivals Worksop Town.

Thirty-three-year-old Danish keeper Budtz made national headlines in 2005 on his debut for Doncaster Rovers when he helped his new team beat Manchester City in a League Cup penalty shoot-out.

Budtz went on to make twenty-seven appearances for Doncaster before signing for Hartlepool United where he played thirty-eight times.

After a loan spell at Oldham Athletic he first went into non-League football with Eastwood Town before his spell at Stalybridge.

Roberts, a big centre half, made a huge impact while on loan at the Silverlands last season, his defensive skills proving a hit with fans after helping them avoid relegation.

This time around the defender will be at Buxton all season and is expected to partner David Haggerty - a recent signing from FC Halifax Town, in central defence.
