Dave Roberts

....to his squad at Bastion Road.

Arriving at the Seasiders is stopper Dave Roberts from Newtown and the experienced Martin Beattie.

Roberts won two FA Youth Cup winner's medals with Liverpool in 2006 and 2007 but was surprisingly released from Anfield and joined Bangor City, leaving in January 2008 without making a Welsh Premier appearance.

After signing non-contract terms for then Conference Premier outfit Weymouth, he signed for Aberystwyth Town in August 2008 but, after losing his place to Steven Cann the following season, was loaned to Newtown in January 2010.

Recalled to Park Avenue in March after an injury to Cann, he rejoined the Robins on a permanent basis last summer and has made eighty league appearances.

Beattie began his domestic league with Cefn Druids in 2004 but joined Bangor the following summer and spent four years at Farrar Road before signing for Welshpool Town.

In total he has made 143 league appearances and has also played with West Cheshire League outfit West Kirby and Nantwich Town in the Evo-Stik League.
