Two More New Rooks
Steve Brinkhurst

Rooks` fans may be familiar with Steve Brinkhurst, the former Brighton youngster, who joins from Blue Square Bet South neighbours Eastbourne Borough.

Brinkhurst spent a month on loan from Priory Lane in December 2009, scoring twice in six games including the memorable 6-2 defeat of Dover Athletic on Boxing Day.

The attacking midfielder had attracted interest from higher division clubs so his signature represents a bit of a coup for Wormull.

Brinkhurst is joined by another player from Eastbourne, this time the Saffrons as Keiron Thorpe steps up a division from Ryman Division One South side Eastbourne Town.

The promising goalkeeper was highly regarded at his former club and has a great opportunity to develop his career at the Dripping Pan.

Players who have re-signed for the new season include Lewis Hamilton, Charlie Leach and Arron Hopkinson, whilst Wormull is still in talks with Harry Harding and last season's player of the year and skipper, Steve Robinson.

Goalkeeper Matt Ingram, who played such a major part in the Rooks' strong finish to last season, has been recalled by Wycombe Wanderers having signed a new two-year professional contract.
