Two New Steels
Ben Turner

.....Premier Division club Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Darker, who starts his third stint at Stocksbridge, played for Belper Town and Parkgate last season and was formally captain at Goole AFC.

He joined Goole after an eventful early footballing life. He started with a four-year football scholarship in Florida USA and whilst playing for Lynn University he won the Conference Championship.

Unfortunately his scholarship was cut short following an injury that required an operation.

Since then Darker has played for Maltby Main and Brodsworth Welfare.

Former Mansfield Town defender Ben Turner has also signed for Stocksbridge Park Steels from neighbours and league rivals Frickley Athletic.

Signed by former Steels` manager Peter Rinkcavage in early November on loan from Worksop Town before signing permantly in December, Turner is a young left-back who spent most of the 2010/11 season on loan at North Ferriby United from his parent club, Mansfield Town.
