Uhlsport Hellenic League Round-Up...

...Nomads commence the defence of their title with a 4-2 win over newly promoted Highmoor Ibis.

Jamie Mundy and Rhys Denton both scored twice for the Nomads whilst Aaron Parker and Adam Theophanides scored for Highmoor Ibis.

In Division One West, Brimscombe & Thrupp picked up where they left off last season with a 6-1 win over Hook Norton.

Lee Pritchard netted a hat trick. Ben Snook, Michael Beckingham and Matt Green were all on target with Dan Watkins scoring Hook’s sole reply.

Carterton started with a creditable draw against last season’s champions Tytherington Rocks. A first minute own goal and a late strike from Lee Watkins for Carterton were cancelled out by a Joe White double for Tytherington.

Cricklade Town and divisional new boys North Leigh Reserves fought out an entertaining 3-3 draw. Dean Hughes and Ryan Thomas (2) were on target for Cricklade with Jordan Cormack, Jozef Fullerton and Tom Weedon replying for North Leigh.

Letcombe enjoyed their first game back in Division One West with a 4-0 win over New College Swindon. Adam Bruce soring a hat-trick with a further goal coming from Adam Pendell.

Lydney Town got off to a winning start with a 4-2 win over Lambourn Sports with goals from Close, Liddington, Clarke and Macklin. Russell Benham scored both the Lambourn goals from the penalty spot. Purton beat near neighbours Malmesbury 3-2 in a nail–biter. Justin Miller and Ritchie Crocker (2) scoring for Purton with Anthony Packer scoring twice for Malmesbury. Hellenic Division One East newcomers AFC Hinksey got off to an emphatic start with a 7-1 trouncing of Thatcham Town Reserves.

Ryan Macer (2), Aniclet Odihambo (2), Jelroy Constant (2) and Alex Fasoranti were all on target for Hinksey with Omari Holmes replying for Thatcham.

Chalfont Wasps were also on the goal trail beating Headington Amateurs 6-1. Tom Kaill (2) Mark Stack (2) Tom Seddon and Karol Derewenko scored for the Wasps with Shaun Jacob scoring for the Amateurs.

Easington Sports went down 2-4 at home to Rayners Lane. Peter Moulder scored both Easington goals. The free scoring Lawrence Yaku (2) opened his account for the season together with goals from Ryan Upton and Shakir Agada for Rayners Lane.

Henley Town slumped 0-4 at home to Didcot Town Reserves for whom Jack Bernasconi, Tom Gooding and Gavin Mackie (2) all scored.

Maidenhead United Reserves edged out Chinnor 2-1 with goals from Stefan Powell and Dale Wright, Jean-Pierre Jamil scoring for Chinnor.

Milton United opened their account with a 2-1 win over Finchampstead with goals from Declan Hartigan and Steve Mundy, Harry Swabey replying for Finchampstead.

Penn & Tylers Green were beaten1-4 at home by Woodley Town. Jordan Tallett, Darrel Fairbrother(2) and Ben Lyden all scoring for Woodley with Liam Ratcliffe scoring Penn & Tylers sole reply.
