Conor Washington opened the scoring after 17 minutes with a shot which deflected off Miles Chamberlain and 2 minutes later Jon Stead added a second from the penalty spot.
Francis Green put the Tulips back in the contest from close range after 48 minutes but Washington’s seventh goal of the season 4 minutes past the hour sealed the visiting victory.
