Nathan Ley and Liam Davies will both be joining up with ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Division One club Long Buckby for the start of pre-season.

Midfielder Ley joins from newly-crowned Coventry Alliance champions Dunlop FC, with Davies returning to the club for pre-season.

Manager Richard Kay said: “Things are progressing well in terms of strengthening the squad. As I have stated previously there will not be wholesale changes to the squad but I felt it was important to add a handful of players with good non-League experience that will push right away to be in the starting eleven and give genuine competition for places.

“I know Nathan well from playing against us for Woodford United the last couple of seasons. He is a versatile player that can play in various positions across the midfield and across the back four. Again, he is hugely experienced at non-League level and has excellent quality and the workrate and attitude to match. Nathan has been part of a championship-winning Dunlop side and will bring a winning attitude to the dressing room.

“Liam returns for pre-season after time away from football. Many will remember Liam from playing right-back for a spell in my first full season managing the club. Liam has excellent quality on the football but it will be a case of seeing how things progress during pre-season and going from there.”
