....test when they entertain basement boys Kidderminster Harriers tonight.
The Harriers head to the R Costings Abbey Stadium without a league win to their name this season, while United aim to end their seven-game winless streak.
But U’s manager George believes the current standings are very misleading and expects the visitors to provide another stern examination for the men in amber and black.
"I don’t think many pundits would have predicted they would be in this situation at the start of the season," said George. "Steve Burr has done a great job there. I’m sure they won’t be in this position come the end of the season.
"We can look at the league table if we want to, but we know Kidderminster are a good team, even if the statistics don’t bear that out at the moment.
"We’re concerned and frustrated about our run of not winning games, but so will they be. It shows nobody’s got a divine right to win games in this league."
Rossi Jarvis (dead leg) and Tom Elliott (hamstring) both trained yesterday and should be fit enough to be in the squad, but Michael Wylde and Sam Smith are not yet ready to return.
And defender Blaine Hudson will be sidelined for another four to six weeks after undergoing a hernia operation yesterday.
"We were loyal to the eleven that played so well against Telford and deserved to win that game, and that was our last home performance," said George, whose side were beaten 4-2 at Hereford United at the weekend.
"If you lose your next game and let in goals like we did on Saturday then it opens things up, but we’ve not got that many options. There are a few, but not a great number of attacking options.
"It’s a case of getting the whole team to do things when we’ve not got the ball. It’s easy to point fingers at the back four, but we did well last season when we competed as a team and were very difficult to break down and play through."
