.....players in the next week as the squad strengthening steps up.
Former Highgate United attacker Jason Currin and ex- Kidderminster Harriers youth teamer Dominic Strevens have already joined the club.
However, Lewis Smith has left Villa for Baker Joiner Midland Alliance side Alvechurch, while goalkeeper Marc Rogers has retired because of his work demands.
Oakes said: “Marc has been a really good keeper for the last three or four years but he’s got quite a high-powered job in the city and he’s decided he can’t devote his time like he wants to.
“We’ve got three keepers training with us and hopefully we can sort that out.
“It’s great that Lewis joining Alvechurch as it’s a feather in both his and the club’s cap as it’s a move upwards.
“We’ve also got a couple of promising players coming on board in Dominic and Jason.”
Top scorer Ryan Sproston, who is recovering from injury, is also remaining with the club.
