....from the Welsh football to his squad.

The Bears expect to receive international clearance in time to play Jordan Neild against Barnoldswick Town at Booth Street today.

Neild, a former academy player at Accrington Stanley and Tranmere Rovers, who was playing for Huws Gray Alliance side Llandudno, follows in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Dave Dempsey, who has also played across the border.

But leaving Congleton is centre back Chris Middleton, who has been a regular this season under the club's three managers.

Vince has released Middleton to join Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Ashton United.

Vince said: "Chris has done OK. He is a young lad who is learning his trade and the move is probably lucrative."

Congleton have had two weeks off, but the players have hardly had a breather.

Vince said: "They have been improving their fitness levels and the response has been good.

"They have picked up the tempo and we had an in-house game last Saturday which gave me the opportunity to look at reserve and youth-team players."
