Vince Targets Possible New Recruits
Jim Vince

....members of his squad have done enough to be part of his plans next season.

He said: "We are competitive and done well against top teams and some of the lads have been terrific. They will be part of the team next year. "But the players who come in will put us in a better position and will be more consistent."

Vince has already targeted some of the players he would like to bring to Booth Street.

He said: "Players can see the brand of football we will be playing and want to come to Congleton Town. No names at present, but there will soon be a free for all.

"The wage structure will dictate the size of the squad, but there will be no reserve and no youth team next season. Everything will be focused on the first team.

"These are exciting times for me and intriguing times for the fans."

Congleton scored their first back-to-back wins since Vince took over two months ago over Easter.

They dug out a result at home to Padiham and won at Alsager Town where Vince said: "Their goalkeeper Tom Harrison was man of the match. He made six or seven outstanding saves."
