.....Washington has decided to remain at Westwood Road for another season.
Washington put pen-to-paper in a deal that will keep him at St Ives Town for the 2012/13 season.
Washington said: "I have spent the last few weeks talking to many clubs and in particular Cambridge United but at this moment in time I will be staying here for next season.
"It appears that I will need an operation at some point on my knee which will prevent me from moving to a professional club just yet, so staying here is the right choice for me".
Saints` joint-manager Jez Hall said: "This is great news for the club and all the supporters as we have now got a player that we all know is capable of playing much higher in our squad for next season."
