Weather Decimates Programme

In Division One West, Carterton managed to overcome the elements and hosted an in-form Fairford Town side who last weekend put seven goals past Lambourn Sports.

The game was dictated by the weather conditions and the 1-1 scoreline was in all probability the fairest outcome for both sides who are to be congratulated for their endeavours.

Jack Williams had put Fairford ahead midway through the second half. Michael Duerden equalised for Carterton with 10 minutes remaining on the clock.

The draw was Fairford’s first of the season.

In the Oxfordshire Senior Cup third round, Chinnor faced Garsington who had produced the surprise result of the previous round when knocking out Oxford City Nomads.

No surprises this time with Chinnor winning 3-2 to book a place in the latter stages of the competition.
