Amesbury Town have announced the appointment of Gino Nardiello as the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier Division club’s new chairman.
This appointment is immediate with former holder of the position Steve Pearce stepping down early to allow for this transition.
Alongside Nardiello’s appointment the club will also see a clutch of new additions to its committee including Robbie Trim, who replaces current vice-chairman Spencer Mulholland, who is stepping down due to other commitments. Keith Noble also joins the club at this point as Amesbury’s new commercial manager.
This represents a very forward looking move for Amesbury Town, as Gino and Robbie bring with them a wealth of experience within the Wessex League structure, alongside a track record of success, which will help build on and develop the club’s current status in the Premier Division.
On his appointment, Nardiello stated: “We have all been away from football for the past four years or so but in all that time have never stopped looking for the right opportunity to return. However, it had to be with the right club and the right offer. We believe Amsebury Town is that club and we can’t wait to get started to once again see what can be achieved both on and off the field.
“We believe Amesbury Town has the potential for a successful future in the Wessex League’s Premier Division”.
