West Joins Neighbours as Assistant Boss
Paul West

.....Bridgwater Town as assistant-manager

West, sacked by Taunton last month, will work alongside joint-managers Dave Pople and Kevin Milsom, who were themselves only appointed recently.

"We're delighted to have Paul on board," said Bridgwater's chairman Alan Hurford. "He comes to Bridgwater with a wealth of footballing experience and know-how." The news of West's appointment ends speculation about his future. Taunton's decision to axe West has upset the former FA Trophy-winning captain. "I was disgusted with the way I was treated by certain individuals at the club and I won't forgot it," said West. "I have been associated with the club for twenty-nine years and it really hurts. "As far as I was concerned I was building a club at Taunton and thought I had the safest job in football." A number of players from Taunton are expected to follow West to Bridgwater.
