Anthony Robbins has been released from his managerial duties at West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division club Pegasus Juniors with immediate effect.

A club statement said that Robbins wished to focus on playing without the added pressure of managing the side.

He joined Pegasus after being released by Hereford United in August 2016, becoming their player-manager the following month.

Despite several injuries to key players, he managed to secure a top-half finish.

A statement from the club reads: “We praise Robbo for his hard work and perseverance in a difficult season and the professionalism that he has brought to the club.

“He set high standards which we will seek to maintain for the new manager”.
