.....parted company with the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division club shortly after the end of the season.

Clipston had been in charge at Leading Drove since January 2007 and had previously spent four years as Jimmy Watson’s assistant before that.

New man Whaley is a former Cuckoos player and was reserve manager at the club from 2005 to 2007. He has coached at both Peterborough United and Boston United and occupied managerial posts at Ramsey Town and March Town United (twice), leading the Hares to their best season in years in the campaign just ended. He also spent part of the 2010/11 season as assistant-manager at Yaxley`s league rivals Deeping Rangers.

Whaley will be assisted by former Yaxley defender Chris Lenton, who was also his right hand man at March.
