The Sports have taken former Reading midfielder Dan Carr on trial, but the player has agreed to sign Conference forms and as such is available for selection in the league.

Carr featured against Boro when he played, and scored, for the Stevenage XI early in the club`s pre-season build up.

On confirming the registration Boro boss Tommy Widdrington said: "I was impressed by Dan when he featured in Stevenage's line up against us early in pre-season. He has agreed in effect to remain `on trial` whilst being available to play in the first-team. This is due to him only arriving to train on Friday morning. It gives both parties the opportunity to have a look at each other and see where it goes.”
