....team is hungry for success in the coming season following playoff heartache during the last campaign.
The Crusaders lost to Poole Town in the play-offs last season, but Wilkinson has added fresh blood to his squad ahead of the 2012/13 campaign.
Among Wilkinson’s summer signings are a trio of players from Swindon Supermarine - Sean Wood, Bradley Gray and Gary Horgan.
Thirty-five-year-old Horgan, who mostly operates as a holding midfielder, signed last month and was joined in West Berkshire by Wood and Gray this week.
Wilkinson hopes Gray, who began his career at Leyton Orient where he scored eight goals for the reserve and youth teams in 2007/08 season, can help Hungerford gain promotion.
“They are good players and that’s why I’ve signed them,” Wilkinson said. “It doesn’t matter where they’ve come from.
“Bradley has played at a higher level. He’s a very quick winger, so I’m very excited about him signing.
“All my players are hungry to do well this season. I’ve got them back in pre-season early and it’s started well.”
Also joining Hungerford this summer are former Thatcham Town players Paul Strudley, goalkeeper, and Scott Rees, midfielder.
Central midfielder Ryan Crockford has also signed from Hayes & Yeading United, while former Didcot Town defender Matthew Jack and Binfield striker Carl Davies have also arrived at Bulpit Lane.
However, Wilkinson said this week that he is still tracking a number of other players who could join before the season starts.
Commenting ahead of today`s FA Cup and Trophy draw, Wilkinson said: “I don’t care who we play. We’re just looking forward to it. It’s exciting now. I just can’t wait for the season to get up and running.”
