Reviewing the first month of the season, and speaking after had Hitchin lost their third consecutive home game last Saturday against Stourbridge, Williams said: "We've seen a pattern develop where we follow a good performance with a bad one. We have to change this. It's really quite frustrating that we can go to St Neots Town and Chippenham Town and win well and then put in displays like the one we have seen today."

Suspensions and injuries have played their part in preventing Williams from fielding is strongest wide, but he has been pleased with the progress made by the likes of Kyle Lincoln and Daniel Delderfield. "These youngsters are not the finished article but they have the potential to be valuable members of the squad," says Williams.
