Wimborne Looking to Make Amends
Scott Arnold

.....One South & West rivals Clevedon Town will be the opportunity to lift the spectre of last month’s shock home FA Cup defeat.

While the defeat to Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) side Fareham Town shook Cuthbury pride, Arnold is confident that he and his team-mates are quite capable of making amends in the clash at The Hand Stadium.

The tie will be worth £2,300 in prize money to the victors.

“The cup draws have been kind to us,” he said. “But we didn’t take advantage in the FA Cup.

“If we can get through a few rounds in the Trophy it will bring money into the club and be good for the players and fans.

“We’ve been looking strong on our travels,” Arnold added. “Hopefully we’ll do well at Clevedon.”
