“It`s ideal really,” Hindley said. “We have a lot of younger players who can benefit so much from Peter.
“We had a decent year with so many changes at the club. It`s been hectic to say the least. The ground works at the club are a big positive even though it`s been costly on the football side of things. Sometimes things just don`t work out as you hope and that`s football really. But we have to look at the positives, and £8.6 million facility that Woodley will call its home is ideal for players and staff to train from and will be a showcase for the league.
“Really we have the facilities of a Football League club and we have an international level coach. Who has done it all.”
Hindley said success will be measured off the pitch in the next three years as the club looks to build community links and stability.
“I think we can sometimes get carried away chasing promotions and cup runs in football. The main thing for a community club is to be part of the area and despite what we can offer to players being great facilities and great coaching the main thing we offer is services for the community from the youth to the ladies to the disabled and social.
“The club has basically had to take a step back to go forward, but moving forward will be done with community links, cultural programs and football for those looking to improve with the right guidance.”
Hindley said the signing of Peter Withe is what the club is about a steady wise person put in charge of club looking to open itself up to improved community programs and long-term stability.
