...impressed during pre-season with the Reds.

The Liverpool-born 19-year-old was released by Tranmere Rovers at the end of last season having made two first-team appearances.

"He's a big lad who seems to have improved during his time with us," said player-manager Andy Morrell.

"We like what we have seen of him and I'm very happy that he has agreed to sign up for the coming season.

"I have re-assured him that while Joslain Mayebi is our number one, he will be given an opportunity should Jossy's form drop.

"So he has to work hard in training every day and push Jossy all the way."
