Wright Returns to FC United
Jerome Wright

.....League Premier Division club.

Wright joined Chester FC in the last close season from FC United, for whom he had scored forty-nine goals in 203 games.

Wright was with Oldham Athletic as a youngster but was released at the age of 16 and moved into non-League football with Maine Road.

He joined FC United in 2006 despite interest from higher placed clubs and after spending some eighteen months out of the game through injury.

FC United boss Karl Marginson said: "I’m delighted that Jerome is returning to the club as a player of his quality strengthens the squad.

“I’m really pleased with the way that things are coming together for next season. Pre-season training starts in a couple of weeks and the lads already meeting up regularly for five-a-side. To have the majority of last season’s squad confirmed already gives us a great platform and will allow for early preparation for the new season ahead.

“We’ve not had this stability in a squad going into a new season for a number of years and it’s really encouraging and exciting to see."
