Young Agrees New Bucks Deal
Ryan Young

The 32-year-old has been one of the club’s stand-out performers in the league this season and was delighted to agree terms on a new deal.

“It’s been a long, hard season for us but we managed to stay up and that is fantastic,” said Young.

“Now we have to look to push on up the league next season and I am really chuffed to be staying.

“I’ve been at the club for five years now and I have always said it is a massive club at this level and a great place to play your football.

“This will be my sixth year at the New Bucks Head and I am very happy about that.”

Young is one of the favourites to win the club’s player of the year award, which will be announced next week, but individual accolades are not his top priority. He just counts himself lucky to be playing football at this level.

“Playing football is an enjoyable thing to do and I am happy to let my football do the talking,” he said.

“The option was always there for me to renew and I was happy to let things take their course.

“We have now reached an agreement and I never had any doubt that would happen as long as the club wanted to keep me.”
