.....as first-team manager following Lee Duffy’s resignation from the post.

The two were appointed co-managers at Occupation Road in the summer of 2011, with Duffy taking sole control when Young resigned in March.

Business commitments have now forced Duffy to step down, although he will remain with the Foundrymen as a committee man and will head up the club’s youth development programme.

Young has previously managed Peterborough Northern Star, Huntingdon Town and Irchester United, who he led to promotion to the Premier Division.

He spent the last couple of months of last season as assistant-manager of Blue Square Bet North outfit Corby Town and was briefly part of the backroom staff of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South Stamford AFC at the start of the current season.
