ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Division One club Oakham United’s search for a new manager goes on after Darren Edey turned down the offer of the position.

A club statement from chairman Ali Forbes read: “Darren Edey has decided he will not be continuing with the management of the first-team.

“The club is now looking for someone to manage our first-team who shares our passion for football, is ambitious and who will continue to develop the players. We look forward to working with this person to continue building on the fantastic facilities we already have and to move the club forward to the next level.

“Anyone interested in applying for this fantastic opportunity should contact our club secretary on 07817578896 or email info@oakhamunited.co.uk

“Our journey in non-League football has only just begun and we would like to firstly thank, Wayne Oldaker and Andy Bailey for their enthusiasm and commitment over the past few years. Wayne has left the club due to personal reasons and Andy’s work commitments have unfortunately kept him away.

“Secondly we would like to thank Seb Hayes and Darren for their valuable contribution over the past year. We wish them all the best and every success in the future”.
