Blue Square Bet North club Guiseley’s promotion bid has been boosted by the arrival of experienced loan striker Jason Price.

The 34-year-old has joined the Lions on a deal to the end of the season from npower League Two Morecambe after the Shrimps agreed to release him from his short-term contract.

The six-foot front man, who has a wealth of Football League experience at clubs such as Swansea, Hull City and Doncaster, will add vital firepower as Guiseley seek to climb out of the Conference North.

Price played at Guiseley`s neighbours Bradford City last season, and Shrimps` boss Jim Bentley said: “Jason is a fantastic character who was great to have around. Guiseley are doing well and made an enquiry about him and we have decided to allow him to join them.”
