It’s as you were at the top of the Macron Store Southern Combination League Premier Division after the top three all won in a rain-affected weekend of fixtures.

Only five matches survived the elements, with Shoreham maintaining their narrow lead at the top of the table with a comfortable win at home to Broadbridge Heath.

Joe Dryer, Rob O’Toole and Tom Burton were all on target at Middle Road in a 3-0 win over the Bears.

Haywards Heath and Chichester City lead the chasing pack after both picked up routine wins.

Kane Louis and Trevor McCreadie scored in the second half to give Shaun Saunders’ Blues side a 2-0 win over Peacehaven & Telscombe, whilst Chi ran out emphatic winners against Worthing United.

Ellis Martin, Max Thomas, Keiran Hartley, Scott Jones and an own goal helped Miles Rutherford’s side record a 5-0 win over third-bottom Worthing United at Oaklands Park.

Evan Archibald scored four times for Eastbourne Town as they saw off bottom of the table Hailsham Town.

Ethan Strevett was also on target as John Lambert’s side won 5-2 at the Saffrons, despite Thomas Johnston scoring twice for the visitors.

In the division’s other game, Jake Chadwick and Lewis Finney scored in the first half as Lancing came from behind to beat Loxwood.

Ed Davies had given the hosts an early lead at Plaistow Road.
