The Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West play-offs date have been announced as the race for promotion hots up, writes David Richardson.
It is perhaps only a matter of time until Hereford secure the title, sitting 13 points clear at the top, but those below them are still scrapping for the home advantage ahead of the play-offs.
Second and third place will both host one-off semi-finals against fifth and fourth respectively on Wednesday April 26, once the league season comes to an end on April 22.
The highest placing winners will have the home advantage for the play-off final that will take place on Bank Holiday Monday May 1.
Taunton are currently second on 74 points, with Tiverton two points behind them albeit having played a game more.
Salisbury are then four points behind in fourth and have two games in hand on Tiverton.
Fifth place is occupied by Evesham United, who are two behind Steve Claridge’s side and six ahead of Mangotsfield United in sixth.
