Central defender Glenn Steel has put pen-to-paper and completed a move to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North leaders Lancaster City from league rivals Bamber Bridge.

Veteran defender and former City player Steel, now 33, has also played for AFC Fylde, winning the NPL First Division North title with the Coasters in 2012, and briefly Kendal Town before being signed by the Dolly Blues in the summer of 2013.

After a return to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium in the 2014/15 season, Steel has returned to Lancaster with Phil Brown eyeing to shore-up his back-line for the promotion run-in.

The defender will be available for selection for Saturday’s fixture away at Scarborough Athletic.
