In a reduced Boxing Day fixture list in the Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier Division, Bournemouth….

…..Poppies won 2-1 at home to neighbours Hamworthy United.

Fawzi Saadi put the hosts ahead after just 7 minutes and Connor Phillips doubled Poppies’ advantage on 14 minutes.

Substitute Daniel Manuel reduced the arrears for the visitors after half-time, but Poppies held on.

New Milton Town earned a vital three points with a 2-0 victory away to local rivals, Lymington Town.

New signing Danny Cox banged in a brace for the Linnets in their triumph at The Sports Ground.

In the early kick-off, Totton & Eling won 4-1 at home to Romsey Town.
