It was recently announced that Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East club Henley Town had folded, and now their players are free to leave.

AFC Aldermaston decided to take advantage of that and have swooped to sign central midfielder Luke Blakebrough.

The hard-hitting Blakebrough impressed Aldermaston manager Kieran Jennings when playing against The Atomics earlier in the season.
Jennings told his club`s official Pitchero website: “I like how he puts himself about and gets stuck in. He’s a busy player who is good in the air and we could do with the kind of player in sitting midfield.”

Blakebrough lined up in the recent 1-0 home defeat for Aldermaston in his debut to which he was credited with a fantastic performance in a game the home side were very unfortunate not to take points away from.

The right-footed has turned out for AFC rivals Woodley United after coming to the south of England from Welsh League side Caldicot Town.
