Defender Andrew Bilko has swapped Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West club Shrivenham`s jersey for a Purton one for what is likely to be the remainder of the season.

Having signed for a further year during the summer, commitments outside of the club were beginning to make it difficult for the player to find the time needed to play for Shrivenham so he has signed duel registration forms and opted to switch to the Wiltshire Senior League outfit.

“He is a great lad and he would be welcome to return whenever he finds that he has more time,” manager Gareth Davies told his club`s website. “It’s an unfortunate part of the game at this level – you can lose good players because of work and other commitments and we have to accept that as part of our challenge, but he’s gone to a great club and he’ll certainly be an asset to them and will be welcome back here if his situation changes before the end of the season.”

Bilko has made four appearances for his new club, three from the bench so far this season, while he made four appearances for Shrivvy, with only one from the bench.

The club hope to see him back at Barrington Park in the future.
