After announcing the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Beeney on loan from SkyBet League One side Charlton Athletic, Evo-Stik League South Premier club Farnborough have also added two more players to their squad.

Manager Spencer Day has signed another keeper, Aiden Upward, who has developing very well with goalkeeper coach Keith Benjamin, on first-team forms ahead of tomorrow`s Buildbase FA Trophy with Banbury United.

Day told his club`s official website: “I have no issue giving Aiden a longer-term run in the future, depending on the future position with Jordan.”

Day has also signed Bobby Dormer from Evo-Stik League South East neighbours Fleet Town.

Dormer joined Fleet this season from Guildford City having previously been with Camberley Town.

A former scholar at AFC Wimbledon, Oxford United and Derby County, he is strong on the ball and can player either in midfield or at the back.

Day added: “Bobby has shown a real hunger to succeed at Step 3 level, although he is Trophy tied for tomorrow`s game.

“Sadly, I’ve let Matt Cafer leave as it wouldn’t be fair or cost effective for either party to remain. Matt is a top guy but has lost confidence recently and I needed to make a change. With him travelling from Weymouth three times a week the option of staying just doesn’t work financially for either party so we wish him every success in the future as he is a decent keeper with a good future”.
