Dryer Becomes A Rook Once More

Bostik League South club Lewes have announced the signing of Joe Dryer.

The left-sided forward will be a familiar face to those familiar with the non-League scene in Sussex, having played for Peacehaven & Telscombe, Eastbourne Town, Ringmer and, most recently, newly-promoted Shoreham.

Dryer, who has also been on the Rooks’ books before, told the club`s official website: “I’m excited to be back playing for my home-town and the club I started off at.

“Playing for Darren Freeman and his coaching staff will only bring the best out of me. I can’t wait to get started.”

Joining Dryer in pre-season training will be Matt Hurley, who has committed to the Rooks for the season ahead.

Hurley joined at the tail-end of last season, providing some much-needed cover in the centre-back slot and putting in some assured performances.

The former Worthing man will be hoping to add to his four appearances so far when the season gets back underway on August 12th.
