FC United Bring In New Keeper

Vanarama National League North club FC United of Manchester, have announced the signing of 23-year-old goalkeeper Lloyd Allinson from Chesterfield.

Allinson made ten first-team appearances for the Spireites last season.

Allinson joined Huddersfield Town at under-10 level from Rothwell Town.

Whilst at Huddersfield he had two loan spells at Ilkeston FC during the 2011/12 and 2013/14 seasons before becoming a regular on Huddersfield’s first-team bench during the 2014/15 season.

He eventually made his senior debut for Huddersfield in May 2016.

In August 2016, the 6’ 1” keeper signed for Chesterfield after featuring for the club during pre-season.

He made his Chesterfield debut in August in a 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers under-23s in the opening round of the EFL Trophy and went on to play a further four EFL Trophy matches and five League One matches.

FC United manager Karl Marginson said: “Lloyd’s pedigree speaks for itself playing 10 times for Chesterfield last season is impressive for player his age and a bright future is ahead of him, we’re pleased to capture his signature”.
